Editor's Note

Well I can't believe it! Edition 10 has been completed and yet it seems just the other day that the inaugural edition of Promotion was launched.

The Promotional Media Group team would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of this free industry magazine and to everyone that dropped by our stand at the Australian Promotional Expo. We are glad that you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy putting it together for you through out the year. The feedback we receive is fantastic and very much appreciated as we like to know what you wish to see in your industry magazine as we look forward to another ten editions!

In the last edition we discussed 'Working Smarter, Not Harder' and again thank you for your emails and calls in regards to this. Getting that all important work-life balance definitely is the Holy Grail that we all crave in this busy technology based world we live in. We also had some great discussions with some of our readers regarding the article about hiring and working with Gen Y. There seems to be a consensus that although Gen Y can be difficult to deal with at times they can definitely bear fruit for any company if they are given the right work environment.

In edition 10 this month we have a look at how to best manage debtors. As we all know cash flow is king when running a business so we asked some of Australia's entrepreneurs their secrets to maintaining a healthy balance sheet with a minimum of fuss. Other topics we look at are rewards & incentive programs and why some work and others don't, prospecting using social media, as well as some marketing success stories that you might be familiar with.

On a side note, don't forget to catch up on the industry news section, especially regarding Promotional Media Group's new staff members that are dedicated to your marketing needs and service with a smile. We are excited about the year ahead with our new team & refreshed trade shows in 2012.
